Jim Sanders serves as Director of Development for SanderSon Bay Fine Homes.
An engineer with nearly 50 years experience in real estate development and construction, Jim Sanders set a new standard for land planning in Florida with an innovative design at Sugarmill Woods that set aside one-third of the community as permanent nature preserves. He also served as the senior officer for the development of Southern Woods Golf Club designed by Hale Irwin and World Woods Golf Club, a Tom Fazio-designed golf course that is consistently ranked among the best in Florida.
Prior to joining the Sugarmill Woods development team, Jim was a principal in a company that grew to become the largest architectural and engineering firm in Melbourne, Florida. After opening a branch office with two employees in 1957, he led the firm's expansion over an 18-year period, providing engineering and design services for thousands of homesites and many commercial developments as well as publicly funded projects for the Florida Institute of Technology, Brevard County School Board and Brevard County Board of County Commissioners.
